Overview
Scanners are devices that optically scan images, printed text, handwriting, or other objects and convert them into digital images. Scanners have many applications in modern office environments. They can be used to digitize hard copies of documents so they can be e-mailed, which avoids the hassle of a fax and is much cheaper than shipping. Thanks to Check21 legislation, check scanners have become critical components of modern financial services institutions.
