Canon DR 5060F Digital Scanner
Overview
Microfilm scanners are used to digitize archival material stored on microfilm so that it can be stored in an online environment and more easily searched and accessed. Microfilm scanners have made it possible for financial institutions and other organizations that have used microfilm for archival purposes to put all of their historic transactions within the click of a mouse. The Canon DR 5060 is a hybrid scanner that combines the features of a traditional document scanner and a microfilm scanner. It takes one scan, but creates two outputs: microfilm and a digital file that can be stored online.
